Michael graduated from the City University of New York Graduate Center with a degree in Fine Arts and also studied design at the school of Visual Arts in New York City. After completing his studied in New York, Michael moved to Los Angeles to work in film industry. In California, he pursued additional studies in interior and environmental design at the University of California in Los Angeles and Art Center College of Design.

Michael has over 20 years of hotel design experience and has accumulated a wide variety of experience during tenures as a senior designer in Hirsch Bedner Associates in Hong Kong, and later as a design director and associate at Hirsch Bedner Associates in Los Angeles and San Francisco, prior to establishing Sandler Design in the beginning of 2008.

Sandler Design is an international Hospitality Design firm whose work focuses on world class hotels, five star resorts, and luxury senior care facilities. In each project, we seek to uncover an inherent spirit and beauty in its context of culture and space. We hope to establish a balance between modern elegance and comfort in providing a timeless experience.

Our scope of services include conceptual design, complete interior architectural design and planning, furnishing and specification services.
